How To: Request Colleague or Salesforce Access for an Employee

Summary

Learn how supervisors request, change, or remove an employee's Colleague or Salesforce access at North Central University.

Body

Learn how to request Colleague or Salesforce access for an employee, or change access they already have.

Requests must come from the employee's supervisor or department head. Employees can't request access for themselves.

1

Make sure they have an NCU account

New employees need an account first. If they don't have one, submit New Account Setup Request (Affiliated) before requesting access.

2

Submit one request

Use Change/Request Employee's Colleague or Salesforce Permissions. Cover everything that needs to change in one request.

3

Be specific

Describe the access they need. The fastest way is to name someone with similar access: “Please mirror Bob Smith's access.” This is a starting point; access isn't always copied exactly.

What happens next

  • Each request goes through an approval process before access is granted or changed.
  • You'll be notified once the access is set up.
  • Make sure your employee is trained before they start working in Colleague or Salesforce. Training is the supervisor's responsibility.
