Body

Learn what the IT Service Desk can help with on your own laptop, phone, or tablet, and where to go for repairs and data recovery.

IT helps you connect your personal devices to NCU systems. IT doesn't repair, diagnose, or service personal devices.

What IT can help with

  • Connecting to NCU Wi-Fi
  • Setting up MFA (Microsoft Authenticator)
  • Installing Microsoft Office with your NCU account
  • Signing in to Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Canvas

What IT can't help with

  • Hardware problems or repairs, including screens, batteries, and liquid damage
  • Recovering lost or deleted files from a personal device
  • Removing viruses or malware, or reinstalling the operating system
  • Software that isn't provided by NCU
  • Personal printers or home internet

Back up your files

IT can't recover files from a personal device. Save your schoolwork and work files in OneDrive so they're safe if your device fails.

Manufacturer support

Your device's manufacturer is often the best place to start, especially if it's under warranty.

While your device is being repaired

IT doesn't loan equipment to replace a personal device. In the meantime, you can sign in to Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Canvas from any computer's web browser, and students can use the computers in the Miller Hall vending area.
