Body

Read receipts show when someone has seen your chat message.

In this article

How they work

  • A Seen icon shows next to your message once it's read. Until then, it shows as delivered.
  • In group chats of 20 people or fewer, select More options (…) on a message, then Read by to see who read it.
  • Receipts only show if everyone in the chat has them turned on, and not for people outside NCU.
  • Reading a message in a notification or the Activity feed doesn't count as seen.

Turn them off

Select Settings and more (…) > Settings > Chats and channels, and turn off Read receipts. If you turn yours off, you won't see other people's either.
