How To: Open a Chat in a New Window in Teams

Pop a Teams chat out into its own window so you can keep it open while you work in another part of Teams.

Open a chat in its own window to keep it in view while you work somewhere else in Teams, or on another screen.

In Chat, double-click the chat, or select More options (…) > Open chat in new window. You can also double-click a person's profile picture.

You can have several chats open in their own windows, but not the same chat twice.
