Email headers contain tracking information for an individual email, detailing the path a message took as it went through various mail servers (e.g. time-stamps, IP addresses, and sender/recipient information.) This information can be useful in assisting Service Desk staff with troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Showing Headers (and Sending to IT)
- Open the email you want to check the headers for.
- Next to Reply, click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the message to open the pull-down menu.
- Click Show original.

- If needed, click the Copy to clipboard button the new screen that pops up.

- Paste the text into an email or document.
