Overview
Scheduling Assistant is a tool in Outlook that helps you find the best time to schedule a meeting by displaying times when a person is busy or free.
Using Scheduling Assistant on Outlook for Windows
- Open Outlook.
- Under Home, click New Items.
- Click Meeting.
- In the Meeting window, click Scheduling Assistant.
Using Scheduling Assistant on Outlook for Mac
- Open Outlook.
- Under Home, click New Items.
- Click Meeting.
- In the Organizer Meeting window, click Scheduling.
Using Scheduling Assistant on Outlook Web App
- Sign in to outlook.office365.com with your NCU credentials.
- Click the Calendar icon on the bottom left navigation bar.
- Click New Event .
- Add a title and invite attendees, then click Scheduling Assistant.
Key features of Scheduling Assistant
- You will be able to view your current obligations and meetings/appointments on the Scheduling Assistant screen. Availability will be listed as either Busy, Tentative, Out of Office, No Information, or Outside of working hours.
- Use the Add Attendees section to add more people or entities to the meeting(s).
- Use the Options button to configure Scheduling Assistant to Show Only My Working Hours, Show Calendar Details, and to Refresh Free/Busy.
