Use Browser Profiles to Keep NCU and Personal Accounts Separate

Summary

Learn how to set up separate browser profiles in Edge or Chrome so your NCU account, bookmarks, and extensions stay apart from your personal ones.

Body

Learn how to set up separate browser profiles so your NCU account stays apart from your personal accounts. It stops sign-in mix-ups and keeps personal extensions out of your NCU work.

Why it helps

  • No more signing in to the wrong Microsoft or Google account.
  • Your NCU bookmarks, history, and passwords stay separate from personal ones.
  • Personal extensions, including AI extensions, stay out of the browser you use for NCU. NCU's Using AI at Work policy requires that for employees.

Set up a profile

Browser
How
Microsoft Edge
Select your profile picture at the top left, then Other profiles > Set up new work profile (or Add profile), and sign in with your NCU account.
Google Chrome
Select your profile picture at the top right, then Add. Name it “NCU” and sign in with your NCU account if you want to sync it.

Each profile opens in its own window with its own icon. Use the NCU profile for NCU work and your personal one for everything else.
