How Do I Allow Pop Ups in My Browser?

Overview

Most web browsers include a feature to block pop-up windows. While this may eliminate unwanted or bothersome pop-up windows, the feature sometimes can impede the functionality of legitimate or useful websites.

Chrome

  1. Open Chrome.

  1. At the top right, click More  Settings.

  1. Click Advanced and Privacy and security.

  1. Click Site settings.

  1. Click Pop-ups and redirects.

  1. At the top, turn the setting to Allowed or Blocked.

Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  1. Select the Tools option in the top left corner, expand Pop-up Blocker, and select Turn off Pop-up Blocker.​​​​​​​

Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.

  1. Click the menu icon (top right) to open the Firefox menu.
  2. Click Options.

  1. Click the Privacy & Security option on the left.

  1. Scroll down to Permissions.

  1. Uncheck Block pop-up windows.

Safari

  1. Open Safari.

  1. Select Safari Preferences.

  1. Select on Websites at the top of the window.

  1. Select Pop-up Windows on the left side.

​​​​​​​

  1. Use the When visiting other websites drop-down menu to Allow.
