Summary
Hiring a student worker? Learn how to request their separate work account at NCU, what to ask them first, and how the account ends when the job does.
Body
Hiring a student worker at North Central University? They need a separate work account, even though they already have a student account. Here's how to request it and what to ask first.
Ask before you submit
Ask your student worker whether they've worked at NCU before, or work in another department right now. Many student workers already have a work account from another job on campus. Answer those questions on the form accurately so IT doesn't create a duplicate account.

Give them the claim code
The one-time claim code is emailed only to you. Share it with your student worker by phone or in person. Don't forward the email.

Need access to more than email?
The account doesn't include department systems on its own. Request shared mailboxes, Colleague, Salesforce, and other access separately. See Onboarding New Employees for the full list.
When the job ends
The account doesn't end on its own
When your student worker leaves the job, submit an
Employee Separation request, just as you would for any employee. Until you do, their work account and access stay active.
