Pin, mute, or hide a chat

In Chat, point to a chat, select More options (…), then choose:

  • Pin: keeps the chat at the top of your list. Choose Unpin to undo.
  • Mute: stops notifications, but you stay in the chat. Choose Unmute to undo.
  • Hide: removes the chat from your list until someone sends a new message.
  • Mark as unread: flags it so you remember to come back to it.

Get a hidden chat back

Search for the person or chat name at the top of Teams and open it. Or filter your chat list to find it, then select More options > Unhide.
