For example, you may want Chrome to be the default application for PDFs instead of Adobe Reader or vice versa.

Changing a Default App

  1. Press Windows key on the keyboard or click on Windows button on the screen (bottom left of the screen).
  2. Begin typing “Default App Settings.
  3. Click on Choose default apps by file type.

  1. Scroll down to the file type you’re looking for in the left-hand column.
  2. Click the associated application tile on the right and then select the application that you would like these files to be opened with.
