Preparing Bulk Mailings for Processing

Tags mail

Learn how to prepare a mailing of 20 or more identical pieces so the Mailcenter can meter and send it.

Prepare your mailing before you bring it in

USPS requires bulk mail to be sorted, faced, and banded. Mailings that aren't prepared correctly are returned to your department for correction, which delays your mailing. The Mailcenter can't do the preparation for you.

USPS requirements

Sort

Group all pieces by ZIP code.

Face

Turn every piece the same way: address side up, postage area in the upper right.

Band

Secure each ZIP code group with rubber bands or string.

5
