Teams can translate chat messages written in another language into yours.
Translate a message
Point to the message and select Translate if it shows up. If not, select More options (…), then Translation > Translate.
Translate automatically
- For one language: on a message in that language, select More options > Translation > Turn on auto-translation.
- Settings: select Settings and more (…) > Settings > General > Translation to pick your language and choose whether Teams asks first, always translates, or never translates.
Translation works in chats, not channels, and skips very short messages.
