Learn how to access Adobe services at the University. This guide covers Adobe Express (available to all students and faculty) and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, which requires departmental procurement for staff.
Student & Faculty Access: Adobe Express
Adobe Express is a web-based platform that allows users to quickly create social media graphics, videos, and PDFs. It is the primary Adobe tool available to the general student body and faculty at no additional cost.
- Features: Access to thousands of templates, Adobe Stock photos, and basic editing tools for web and mobile.
- Access: No installation is required; the platform is accessed directly through your web browser.
Staff & Departmental Licensing: Creative Cloud
The full Adobe Creative Cloud suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro) is reserved for roles that require professional-grade design and editing software. Unlike Adobe Express, these licenses must be purchased individually.
Procurement Notice: The University does not maintain a central pool of Creative Cloud licenses. Licenses must be funded by your specific department's budget.
To obtain a full Creative Cloud license:
- Approval: Confirm with your supervisor that your department will fund the license.
- IT Coordination: Departments must work directly with the IT department to facilitate the purchase and ensure the license is correctly tied to your Enterprise ID.
