Before you start

These instructions work for any personal iPhone, iPad, or Android device. You'll need your NCU email address and password — MFA will be required during sign-in. If MFA isn't set up yet, see Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) before continuing.

Your device's built-in mail app (Apple Mail or Gmail) can connect to NCU email, but Outlook gives you a better experience — calendar, contacts, and Microsoft 365 features all work in one place.

Set up on iOS (iPhone / iPad)
  1. Open the App Store, search for Microsoft Outlook, and install it. Make sure the publisher is Microsoft.
  2. Open Outlook. If no account is set up yet, tap Add Account. If you already have another account in Outlook, tap your profile photo (top left), then the envelope icon to add an account.
  3. Enter your NCU email address and tap Add Account (or Continue).
  4. On the Microsoft sign-in page, confirm your email is correct, enter your NCU password, and tap Sign in.
  5. Complete the MFA prompt when it appears.
  6. If asked to add another account, tap Maybe Later. Your NCU inbox will load.
Set up on Android
  1. Open the Google Play Store, search for Microsoft Outlook, and install it. Make sure the publisher is Microsoft.
  2. Open Outlook. Tap Add Account or Get Started. If you already have another account in Outlook, tap your profile photo (top left), then the envelope icon to add an account.
  3. Enter your NCU email address and tap Continue.
  4. On the Microsoft sign-in page, confirm your email is correct, enter your NCU password, and tap Sign in.
  5. Complete the MFA prompt when it appears.
  6. If asked to add another account, tap Maybe Later. Your NCU inbox will load.
Removing or resetting your account

If your NCU email isn't syncing or is showing errors, try Reset Account first — it fixes most issues without requiring you to sign in again. Use Delete Account if you need to remove it from the device entirely.

Reset account (fix sync issues)

  1. Open Outlook and tap your profile photo (top left).
  2. Tap the Settings gear (bottom left).
  3. Under Mail Accounts, tap your NCU account.
  4. Tap Reset Account.

Remove account

  1. Open Outlook and tap your profile photo (top left).
  2. Tap the Settings gear (bottom left).
  3. Under Mail Accounts, tap your NCU account.
  4. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

This only removes the account from this device — your NCU email and data are not affected.
