Getting an NCU Account for Someone Who Isn't a Student or Employee

Learn how someone gets an NCU account, and which request to use when they aren't a regular student or employee.

Who
How they get an account
Students
Created automatically at admission.
Employees, including adjunct faculty
Created through HR onboarding.
Affiliates: vendors NCU has hired who need an account, staff partners, and others working for NCU
A director or above submits New Account Setup Request (Affiliated).
Tenants leasing office or apartment space, including vendors renting space, with no other NCU relationship
Contact the IT Service Desk first, then a director or above submits New Account Setup Request (Unaffiliated).
Volunteers and contractors
Contact the IT Service Desk. These follow separate processes.

Before you submit

Vendors: a vendor NCU hired to do work is an affiliate. A vendor that's only renting space is unaffiliated, like any other tenant.

  • Requests must come from a director or above, or their admin or executive assistant for affiliated accounts.
  • Submit at least 5 business days before the account is needed.
  • For unaffiliated accounts, call the IT Service Desk first. Requests without prior contact are returned.

These requests create or reactivate accounts. To change what an existing account can access, see How To: Request Colleague or Salesforce Access for an Employee.
