How To: Recover an Unsaved Office File

Closed a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file without saving? You may be able to get it back.

Save to OneDrive to avoid this

When your file is saved to OneDrive, AutoSave saves your changes as you work. Turn on AutoSave at the top left of the window.
