Salesforce: Setting Up Appointment Availability in Salesforce

Appointment availability requires that both locations are availability are both set up.  

Appointment Locations allow to add various types of location options (e.g. in person, phone, office, etc.).  Once you have added at least one location type, you can then add these options to your availability, which will allow students to schedule appointsments (e.g. advising sessions or other meetings) based on your availability through Skyline.

Adding Appointment Locations

STEP 1 

Click on your profile picture.


 

STEP 2

Click on your name.

 

STEP 3

Scroll down and click Edit My Availability.

 

STEP 4

Click on the Appointment Buffer field and add the time you want to use as a butter between minutes. If no buffer is needed, enter 0.

 

STEP 5

Click on the Advance Notice field and put the number of hours prior to an appointment time that you would allow a student to set up an appointment.

 

STEP 6

Under Appointment Location, click New.

 

STEP 7

Click the Type drop down menu and select In Person.

 

STEP 8

Click the Name field and give this new appointment location a name.

 

STEP 9

Click Campus and add the campus location and a building if desired.

 

STEP 10

Click Save.

 

Add a Teams Appointment Location

STEP 1

Click Name and name the type of location.

 

STEP 2

Click the Meeting Link and add your Teams meeting link. (Learn how to get your personal Teams meeting link.)

 

STEP 3

Click Additional Details and add any additional details.

 

STEP 4

Click Save.

 

Setting up Current Availability

STEP 1

Click New under the current and future availability section

 

STEP 2

Click Subject and provide a name.

 

STEP 3

Click Type and select the type of appointments.

Click Topic and select the topic(s) for this availability (more than one topic can be selected.)

 

STEP 5

Click Save.

 

STEP 6

Click Location.

 

STEP 7

Select the Location(s) that will be available.

 

STEP 8

Click Save.

 

STEP 9

Add a Start Date and End Date for this availability.

 

STEP 10

Add a Start Time and End Time for this availability. 

 

STEP 11

Select the days of the week and recurrence for this availability. 

 

STEP 12

Click Save.
