How To: Find Your Computer's Device Name

Learn how to find your computer's name. IT may ask for it when helping you, so we can find your computer on the network.

Windows

Select Start, then Settings, then System, then About. The name is next to Device name.

Mac

Select the Apple menu, then System Settings, then General, then About. The name is next to Name.

Shortcut on Windows: type About your PC in the Start search.
