Changing Your University Password

Your North Central credentials are used for accessing university computers, email, applications, and networks. When your North Central password is lost or forgotten, in many instances you can reset your own password.  The password reset service will allow you to reset your password, recovery your account, and update your recovery information.

Students

If you know your NCU password and wish to change it, you may do so by logging into https://login.northcentral.edu.

Once you have signed in, select your name in the upper-right corner, then select My Account.

You will be prompted to re-enter your password. This is for security purposes to ensure no one can change your information but you.

Once you have re-signed in, you will be brought to a page where you can set up your account recovery options or change your password. Select Change Password.

Here, you can view when your pasword was last changed, when your profile was last updated, and when your account was registered. You can also change your password. Enter your current NCU password in the first box, then enter and confirm a new password. The requirements for password are as follows:

  • At least 1 lowercase letter.
  • At least 1 Uppercase letter.
  • At least 1 Number or Symbol.
  • 12 Characters in length.
  • Name cannot be in password.
  • No previous passwords can be used.

You will be presented with a message if your password was changed successfully.

If you don't know your current password:

You must visit the IT service desk.  Because of the nature of access allowed by these accounts, these passwords must be reset in person.

Important: If you believe your account has been compromised in any way, please contact the IT service desk immediately. IT staff can lock your account until you can make it to the IT service desk to have the account reset.
