All devices

Once a device is reclaimed, promptly remove all software licenses (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud)

Windows devices

  1. Reclaim device from the user.
  2. Update status in TDX to Unassigned.
  3. Change device location in TDX to current location
  4. Nuke hard drive.
  5. Change status in TDX to Decommissioned.
  6. Move the device to the Graveyard.
  7. Change the location of the device in TDX to Graveyard.
  8. Once the device has been disposed of, change status in TDX to Disposed.
  9. Attach a copy of Proof of Disposal to Asset in TDX and place copy on N: Drive.

macOS devices

  1. Reclaim device from the user.
  2. Update status in TDX to Unassigned.
  3. Change device location in TDX to current location.
  4. Remove the device from DEP (https://school.apple.com/).
  5. Remove the device from JAMF.
  6. Use Disk Utility to encrypt the drive.
  7. Restart device.
  8. Use Disk Utility to format drive.
  9. Change status in TDX to Decommissioned.
  10. Move device to the Graveyard.
  11. Change location of device in TDX to Graveyard.
  12. Once device has been disposed of, change status in TDX to Disposed.
  13. Attach a copy of Proof of Disposal to Asset in TDX and place copy on N: Drive.
