Phone Service

Tags phone telecom

North Central University phones run on Microsoft Teams. Your NCU phone number rings in Teams on your computer and phone, and on a Teams desk phone if you have one. Voicemail is built in, and a copy of each message arrives in your Outlook inbox.

Who has an NCU phone number

Phone numbers are assigned to employees when their department requests one. Most employees have a number, but not all. For a new employee, the number is usually requested on the New Account Setup Request (Affiliated).

What to request here

Request
Examples
A phone number
An existing employee who needs an NCU number
A Teams desk phone
A physical phone for your desk, in addition to Teams on your computer and mobile phone
An office move
You or a phone moved to a different room or building
A change
Updating the name shown for a number
A problem
Calls not ringing, can't make calls, or voicemail not working

Moving offices? Tell IT first

IT keeps the location of every phone number on file for emergency responders (E911). Submit a request whenever a phone or person with a number moves.

How to request

Select Request Service in the sidebar. Include the person's name, their department, and the room or building if it's a move or a desk phone.

Who can request: faculty and staff.
