The Parking Grievance Committee reviews written appeals from individuals challenging a parking violation.
All appeals must be turned in within 10 days of the citation being issued.
Grievance Procedures and Responsibilities
The committee adheres to the following procedures and responsibilities:
- The grievance form must be received by the Campus Safety and Security Dept. within 10 days of the date the citation was issued. The committee will respond within 15 days that the form is submitted.
- The individual submitting the parking grievance form must wait to hear back from the committee prior to applying for an application as the fine remains on the vehicle until after the decision is made.
- The committee may decide to cancel the fine, reduce the fine, or deny the grievance form and keep the fine on record.
- All decisions made by the Parking Grievance Committee are final. An improperly displayed permit violation will be automatically waived if the owner places the permit in the correct spot and provides proof to the security department.
