Establishing an NCU Mailbox

Your campus mailbox is your official university address for everything from care packages to financial aid notifications. Unlike some schools, NCU doesn't automatically assign mailboxes - you need to request one. Once assigned, your mailbox stays with you for your entire time at NCU.

Your mailbox key is valuable:  Lost keys cost $10 to replace and take 24-48 hours.

Who needs to request and limitations

  • Students: Your campus mailbox is automatically assigned to you upon enrollment; no request is necessary.
  • Faculty and Staff: Mailboxes are not automatic. They are assigned based on demonstrated need and current availability, and are not granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

How to Request

Submit a Mailbox Request with:

  • Your full legal name
  • Student ID number
  • Best contact email
  • Preferred key pickup date

Timeline

  • Processing: 24-48 hours
  • Email notification when key is ready
  • Pick up during business hours (10am-5pm Mon-Fri)

After Getting Your Mailbox

  • Find your physical mailbox in Miller Hall
  • Update all shipping accounts with new address
  • Start checking at least twice weekly
  • Keep key secure - treat like dorm key
