How To: Create an Event or Meeting in Outlook

Learn how to put an event on your calendar, invite people to make it a meeting, and change it later.

These steps are for Outlook on the web (outlook.northcentral.edu) and the new Outlook for Windows, which look and work the same.

1

Create the event

In Calendar, select New event.

2

Add the details

Enter a title, date, time, and location. Invite people to turn it into a meeting, and turn on Teams meeting for an online link.

3

Save or send

Select Save for your own event, or Send to invite people.

Change it later

Open the event, change the time or details, and select Send update (or Save if no one is invited).
