Students: Clear Saved Passwords in Windows Credential Manager

Changed your North Central University password and your personal Windows laptop keeps asking for it, or your account keeps getting locked? Windows may still have your old password saved. Here's how to clear it.

Clear old NCU passwords

1

Open Credential Manager

Select Start, type Credential Manager, and open it.

2

Select Windows Credentials

You'll see a list of saved sign-ins.

3

Remove NCU entries

Expand any entry with your NCU email address or a name starting with MicrosoftOffice, then select Remove.

4

Restart and sign in again

Restart your laptop, open Outlook or Teams, and sign in with your new password.

Also update your password anywhere else it's saved, like your phone's Wi-Fi. See Locked Out After Changing Your Password.
