How To: Make a PowerPoint Loop on Its Own

Running slides on a lobby screen, at a table, or before an event starts? You can set a PowerPoint presentation to advance on its own and start over when it reaches the end.

Set the timing

1

Select all slides

In the slide list on the left, click a slide and press Ctrl + A (Windows) or Cmd + A (Mac).

2

Set Advance Slide

On the Transitions tab, check After and enter how long each slide should show, like 00:08.00 for 8 seconds.

Turn on looping

1

Open Set Up Slide Show

On the Slide Show tab, select Set Up Slide Show.

2

Choose kiosk mode

Select Browsed at a kiosk (full screen), then OK. The show loops until you press Esc.

3

Start it

Select From Beginning.

Videos on your slides play as part of the loop. Check that each one is set to start automatically. See Inserting Multimedia in PowerPoint.
