Adobe Software at NCU

Learn how to get Adobe software, like Acrobat Pro or Creative Cloud, at North Central University (NCU), and why you should never buy Adobe with your NCU email.

Don't buy Adobe with your NCU email.

NCU's Adobe accounts sync with NCU sign-in, so a plan you buy yourself with your NCU email will never work with your NCU account. The purchase is between you and Adobe, so NCU can't step in, contact Adobe for you, move the plan, or get you a refund.

Employees: how it works

  • The Office of Innovation & Technology (OIT) manages all of NCU's Adobe licenses.
  • OIT buys the license and assigns it to your NCU account. The cost is billed to your department.
  • A license only works with your NCU account if OIT assigns it.

What you can get

Product
Good for
Acrobat Pro
Editing PDFs, building fillable forms, combining files, and collecting signatures
Creative Cloud single app
One app, like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Premiere Pro
Creative Cloud all apps
The full set of Adobe apps, if you need more than one

Only need to open and read PDFs? The free Adobe Acrobat Reader does that, and so do Microsoft Edge and most web browsers.

Employees: how to request it

1

Submit a request

Submit a request through Software Purchasing and Licensing. Say which product you need and who it's for.

2

Approve the quote

OIT sends you a quote. If you want to go ahead, give OIT your department's account number.

3

Accept the invite

OIT assigns the license. Watch for an email from Adobe, accept the invitation, then install the app.

Students

  • Buy Adobe with a personal email. If you want Adobe for yourself, including a student discount plan, sign up with a personal email, not your NCU email.
  • A plan you buy won't work with your NCU account. Only licenses OIT assigns can be used with an NCU account.
  • Adobe is the place to go for help. Because the purchase is between you and Adobe, Adobe's support team is the one that can help with your account, billing, or refunds. NCU isn't part of that agreement, so IT isn't able to step in or contact Adobe for you.
