Troubleshooting: User Cannot Connect Android Device To Network.

If a user cannot connect their Android device to the network, chances are they did not follow every single step within the Connecting to NCU Wi-Fi - Android Devices Knowledge Base Article. Each step is imperative in order for the process to be completed.

Check for these things to make sure they are true if a user is experiencing issues connecting their device:

1. Clearpass is allowed to access Files, Storage, etc.

     - This can be checked by opening the app and seeing if there are any prompts. If not, it can be checked in System Settings. Each phone is different, but it should be somewhere in Applications, locate the app, then Permissions.

2. Forget the NCU-Secure network if it is already attempting to connect.

     - If the NCU-Secure network is already attempting to connect before provisioning has been done, it can cause configuration conflicts. Tap and hold on the network, then select Forget Network.

3. Ensure the user can login their Skyline account and it's not locked out. Also ensure they are entering only their username when prompted, and not the full email address.

     - Another common issue could be that they are entering the wrong password. You can verify the password is correct by seeing if they are able to login. You can also check ClearPass for a reject with their username.

If none of these work, restart the phone, then try again. If that still doesn't work, find Aaron and he'll work some magic on it. He usually does.
