Changing Your Voicemail Greeting

A greeting is what the caller hears when reaching the recipient's voicemail.  Follow the steps below to check and record your greeting. If you haven't set up your voicemail greeting, see Set Up your Voicemail for a guide on how to do a first-time setup.

How to Change Your Voicemail Greeting

From your own extension

  1. Dial 4420 to access the voicemail system.
  2. When the voicemail system answers, Enter your password.
  3. Press # after entering your password.
  4. Press 3 to access, where you can choose greeting selection or change greeting (NOTE: Always remember to press the # key to end recording).
  5. Press 4 to change your standard greeting.
  6. Press 6 to change your out of office greeting.

From another extension or from off-campus

  1. Dial 612.343.4420 to access the voicemail system
  2. When the voicemail system answers, Press #.
  3. Enter your extension and press #
  4. Enter your password and press #
  5. Press 3 to access phone manager settings, where you can choose greeting selection or change greeting (NOTE: Always remember to press the # key to end recording)
  6. Press 4 to change your standard greeting.
  7. Press 6 to change your out of office greeting.
