Overview
Extend your work surface or display to another monitor to display them on a combined, single extended desktop. This allows each monitor to display different things. Extended mode is often used when using PowerPoint so that a presenter can see their notes on one monitor and the presentation on another display.
Windows
- Press the Windows logo key + P and select Extend, or use the following steps if you need more settings options.

Alternative method for Windows
- Right-click anywhere on your desktop and select Display settings to open the Display page.

- Scroll down to Multiple displays.

- Select Extend desktop.

- Select Keep changes.

- Make sure your additional display is properly connected and powered on.
- From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.

- From the View menu, choose Displays.

- Click the Arrangement tab.
