Body

Learn how to see which of your OneDrive files you've shared, who can open them, and how to stop sharing anything people no longer need.

See what you've shared

Go to OneDrive on the web and select Shared > Shared by you. You'll see every file and folder you've shared.

See who has access

1

Select the file

Select the file or folder.

2

Open Manage access

Select Share > Manage access (or … > Manage access). You'll see the people and links that can open it.

Stop sharing

To
Do this
Remove one person
In Manage access, select their name and choose Remove access.
Turn off a link
In Manage access, find the link and select Delete (trash can). Anyone using that link loses access.
Stop sharing everything on a file
In Manage access, select Stop sharing.

Good habits

  • Share with Specific people instead of links anyone at NCU or anyone with the link can open.
  • Clean up sharing when a project ends or someone leaves the group.
  • Team files belong in a Teams channel instead of shared from your OneDrive. See Keep Department Files in Teams, Not Your Personal OneDrive.
