Getting a Headset for Calls and Meetings

Learn how to get a headset for Teams calls and meetings at North Central University (NCU), and how to set it up.

Get a headset

If you need
Do this
A headset for everyday work
Request one through Request Technology for University Employees. It's assigned to you as your NCU equipment.
One for a short time
Borrow one through Technology Loans for University Employees, or stop by the IT Service Desk in Miller Hall 226.

Set it up in Teams

Plug it in

Connect the headset by USB, or pair it by Bluetooth.

Choose it in Teams

In Teams, select Settings and more (…) > Settings > Devices. Pick your headset for Speaker and Microphone.

Test it

Select Make a test call to check your sound.
  • Already in a meeting? Select More (…) > Settings > Device settings to switch.
