Set up the town hall

1

Create it

In the Teams calendar, select the arrow next to New meeting, then Town hall.

2

Add the details

Enter the title, date, time, and description. Add co-organizers and presenters.

3

Choose who can attend

Pick people at NCU only, or anyone with the link.

4

Turn on Q&A

Turn on Q&A so attendees can submit questions.

5

Publish and share

Publish the event and share the attendee link. Presenters get their own invitation.

Run it

1

Join early

Presenters join from their invitation. Attendees can't see anything until you start.

2

Start the town hall

Select Start when you're ready to go live.

3

End the town hall

Select End when you're done. Attendees are disconnected.

Do a practice run

Schedule a short test with your presenters a day or two before, so everyone knows how to share content and answer Q&A.

Webinars and town halls are self-service. IT doesn't produce or monitor events, but you can borrow equipment through Technology Loans for University Events.
