GlobalProtect VPN Troubleshooting

Learn how to fix common GlobalProtect VPN problems when you need to reach NETPC (NCU's Remote Desktop Services) or Colleague from off campus.

Problem
Try this
Won't connect
Make sure you have internet first: open any website. Then disconnect and connect GlobalProtect again, and approve the Authenticator request.
Stuck connecting or keeps dropping
Restart your computer and try again. On public or hotel Wi-Fi, accept the Wi-Fi sign-in page first. See Hotel or Airport Wi-Fi: When the Sign-In Page Won't Appear.
Connected, but NETPC or Colleague won't open
Disconnect and reconnect, then try again. Make sure GlobalProtect shows Connected before you open NETPC or Colleague.
Outlook or Teams stopped working on VPN
Disconnect the VPN. You don't need it for Outlook or Teams.

Try a different network if you can, like your phone's hotspot. Some networks block VPN connections.
