Learn how single sign-on (SSO) lets you use one NCU account to sign in to Microsoft 365, Canvas, Skyline, and many other NCU systems, and what to do when an app won't sign you in.
How it works
One account
Your NCU username and password work across NCU systems. No separate passwords to remember.
|
One sign-in page
Most NCU systems send you to the same Microsoft sign-in page with NCU branding.
|
Protected by MFA
Signing in once, with Microsoft Authenticator, covers you across connected systems for a while.
|
Your NCU account lives in NCU's directory, the central list of everyone at NCU and what they can access. When you sign in to a connected system, it checks the directory to confirm who you are and what you're allowed to use.
Systems that use NCU sign-in
Many NCU systems use SSO, including:
- Microsoft 365: Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Office
- Skyline and Self-Service
- Canvas and Panopto
- TeamDynamix (TDX)
- Salesforce and Informer
This isn't a complete list. If an app sends you to the NCU Microsoft sign-in page, it uses SSO.

Buying or adding an app?
If your department wants a new app to use NCU sign-in, submit a request through Single Sign-On (SSO) and Directory Services before you sign with the vendor. Not every product supports SSO, and the Office of Innovation & Technology reviews each connection.
Watch for fake sign-in pages
The real NCU sign-in page is on a Microsoft address (login.microsoftonline.com) and shows NCU branding. Never enter your NCU password on a page you reached from an unexpected email.
