Salesforce: Creating Alerts in Skyline

Learn how to create alerts directly in Skyline. Alerts help support staff stay on top of concerns about grades, attendance, and other areas that impact student success. Every alert is automatically related to a advising case and to the student contact associated with the case.

All employees can submit an alert for a student.

Submitting an Alert through Skyline.

 

STEP 1

Log in the Skyline (skyline.northcentral.edu) and click the green button to Submit a Student Alert.

 

 

STEP 2

Enter the name of the student (First and Last Name) and select the student.  Click or hit tab (on your keyboard) to search for the student.

 

 

STEP 3

 

 

STEP 4

The name of the student, their student type, and their university email will be automatically filled in. If this is the correct student, click Yes. 

If not, click No and search again and search again.

 

STEP 5

Select an alert type.  Alert type determines how an alert is routed.

Please note: if you select ADA Accommodation or Counseling it will prompt you to direct the student to either fill out the ADA form or the Counseling Request form in Skyline since those type of request need to come directly from the student.

 

STEP 6

Select a priority.

 

STEP 7

Select a reason for the alert.

 

STEP 8

 

 

STEP 9

If this alert is related to a specific course, fill in the course name.

 

STEP 10

Add your Comments about the alert and click Submit.

NOTE: the student will see the details of this alert.
