Salesforce: Viewing and Resolving Alerts (Faculty/Staff Guide)

Learn how to view current alerts from within Salesforce.  Please note that Salesforce access is required to view alerts and not all employees have access to Salesforce.

There are several ways to view alerts from within Saleforce.

Viewing Alerts on the Student Success Hub Home Tab

STEP 1

If it is not already open, navigate to the Student Success Hub app by clicking on the nine dots and searching for Student Success Hub.

 

STEP 2

If it is not already open, navigate to the Student Success Hub Home page by clicking on the drown down and selecting Home.

 

STEP 3

In the left pane, click on Alerts.

 

Step 4

Your list of alerts will open. If you only see a short list, change the list view from Recently Viewed to All

 

STEP 5

You can they click on the Alert # to view the details and to change the status/resolve the alert.

 

Viewing Alerts on the on a student's advising case.

STEP 1 

Navigate to an advising case.  NOTE: you can get to cases in a variety of ways.  

Click on the dropdown in Student Success Hub and select Cases

Option 1

 

 

Option 2 

Click on the "nine dots" and search for Cases.

 

Option 3 

On the Student Success Home page, click the Cases button in the right navigation.

 

Option 4

Select an advising case from the list on the Student Success Hub Home Page.

 

STEP 2

You can find a list of alerts for the student on the Alerts window.  Click on the dropdown and select View to see the alert details.

 

Viewing Alerts on the on a student's Contact Page.

 

STEP 1

Use the global search to find a student or select a student from your open cases.

    

 

STEP 2

Hover of the Alerts quicklink to see a list of open alerts for the student.

 

STEP 3

Click on the Alert # to view the details of the alert and to resolve the alert.
